Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Long Island Farm Bureau is a grassroots agricultural advocacy organization that works on behalf of its members to advocate and promote the agriculture industry.

Position Summary

Seeking a highly organized and tech-comfortable individual to assist with daily office administration, scheduling, and digital communication in a small team environment.
Hours: 20–25 per week (4–5 hours/day, weekdays)
Evening: 1 monthly board meeting
Compensation: $20 per hour-plus, depending on qualifications and experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Office organization and filing (digital + paper)

  • Basic spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets, Excel)

  • Scheduling and meeting minutes

  • Mail processing, memberships, RSVPs, and payments

  • Light list maintenance and data entry

  • Social media and website updates (Wix)

  • Basic design and email newsletter support (Canva, MailerLite/MailChimp)

  • Order fulfillment and merchandise folding

  • Maintain office supplies and assist with equipment setup

Tools Used:

Google Workspace, Password Manager, Wix, Canva, MailerLite/MailChimp, ChatGPT, CRM

Attributes

Reliable, organized, team player, growth-oriented and willing to learn new skills, comfortable with technology.

Education and Experience

A High School degree is required and an Associate’s degree is preferred. Experience in an office environment utilizing office software applications are desired. Customer service or retail sales experience would be an asset.
