First off, in the Town of Brookhaven in a special election for Supervisor, Democratic candidate Mark Lesko defeated Councilman Tim Maezzi.
Former Supervisor Brian X. Foley successfully ran for New York State Senate opening the slot for Supervisor special election this past Tuesday. The new Supervisor will have to run again this November for a 2-year term. We wish the Supervisor elect “good luck and best wishes” as he takes over the reins at the helm.
Long Island Farm Bureau will meet with the new Supervisor to discuss his plans going forward, especially on land acquisition.
